Your gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund provides critical support in four areas:

Financial Aid

We strive to attract the top students from New Mexico and all over the United States, regardless of ability to pay.  Gifts to the Dean’s Excellence Fund make tuition more affordable and fund need-based academic scholarships.

Academic Programs

Recruiting the most accomplished and diverse faculty and providing an innovative curriculum for our students are key elements to fulfilling our goals.

Extracurricular Support

Programs and services outside the classroom not only enrich the College of Education experience and in some cases, facilitate enrollment; but our programs reach out and provide important community service programs and projects.

Building Campaign

Donations to our building campaign will be dedicated to raising funds for the new College of Education Building.  A new building represents an unparalleled opportunity to move our teacher education programs into the future.  We need smart classrooms that connect to the outside world.  We need classrooms that simulate the school classrooms in which COE graduates will teach.  We need collaborative space where faculty and students can interact more informally.  A new building represents these and many other exciting and important opportunities for COE faculty and students.
