Cash

To make a cash gift to UNM College of Education, send your personal check to:

A gift of cash is recorded for tax purposes on the date it is hand-delivered or post-marked. Please note on the memo line of your check that your gift is for the College of Education.

Credit Cards

Many donors earn valuable rewards for credit card activity, and the UNM Foundation gladly accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. To make a credit card gift, use our secure online giving form (click here)and use the drop down menu which says “If you wish to support additional UNM schools, colleges, or programs, please choose from the lists below” and choose College of Education. You can also call the Office of Development at (505) 277-0835 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Mountain Time). Be prepared to provide your account number and expiration date.

Appreciated Stocks or Securities

Securities such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds make a wonderful gift and the tax savings to the donor can be significant. Making a gift of long-term (held over 12 months) appreciated securities or mutual funds to the College of Education may help you to avoid capital gains tax. In addition, the gift gives the donor who itemizes deductions an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the securities (subject to certain limitations).

Gifts "In Memory Of" or "In Honor Of"

You can make a gift in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one. The College of Education will inform the individual or his or her family about your gift and how it will benefit the College of Education community.

Matching Gifts

If you or your spouse work for a company that makes corporate matching gifts, your contribution to UNM can be doubled or even tripled. Contact your human resources office to find out if they take part in a matching gift program.

Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is: Designated Giving

Whether it's the department you graduated from, or another of the College of Education’s academic areas, you can decide where your gift dollars are spent. If you prefer you can also allow COE to decide where your support is most needed by earmarking your gift for the Dean’s Excellence Fund.

No matter what you decide, your gift will help COE remain the leading school of education in New Mexico.
