Volunteer opportunities available this semester
1. NMDA conference planning committee is looking for students to help plan the annual conference, which will be in the spring of 2010. They need students to help in the planning as well as students whom are willing to help at the conference. These duties may include helping with check-in, running a video camera or helping set up. This is a
fantastic opportunity to get to know many of the dietitians in the community. For more information contact the NMDA student liaison Sherry Neal sneal@unm.edu.
2. Additionally, the UNM nutrition club is starting up again for the year. We are looking for people to join so that elections may be held. The club will be partnering with the KONU honor society to provide volunteer opportunities at several locations including Roadrunner foodbank, and some local APS schools, which participate in the backpack
food program. Please contact Laura at lmcann@unm.edu or Sherry at sneal@unm.edu if you are interested in joining the club so we may plan our first meeting.
