Lobo Triathlon, Kids Race And Wellness Fair
April 9, 2017 at the University of New Mexico's Johnson Center
Description: Timed Run-Bike-Swim sprint triathlon at UNM Johnson Olympic-sized pool. The bike course is out to Mesa Del Sol and back, and the run is a two-loop course around UNM. The swim is a serpentine swim up/down one lane at a time. The distances are 5k run, 20k bike and 400m swim. This is a USAT sanctioned event. Read more about the triathlon event below...
Training: To help prepare for this event, the UNM Department of Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences (HESS) is offering training assistance. Four, 90-minute, hands-on triathlon training sessions will cover all the sporting disciplines, nutrition, strategies and transition practice. An on-line course will provide training regimes and tips to maximize performance and efficiency on race day. Read more about training events below...

KIDS RACE AND WELLNESS FAIR
- Sunday, April 9
- Begins at conclusion of adult race, approximately 10:00am
- Under 7: 1/8 mile run, 1/4 mile bike, 25m swim
- 7-10 yrs: 1 mile run, 1 1/2 mile bike, 100m swim
- 11-15 yrs: 1 1/2 mile run, 5k bike, 200m swim
ADULT RACE (USAT SANCTIONED EVENT)
- Sunday, April 9
- Transition area open 6:00am to 7:00am
- Race begins at 7:30am
- Run: 5k, two-loop course around UNM Campus
- Bike: 20k out to Mesa Del Sol and back
- Swim: 400m serpentine swim

This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event, and all USAT rules and regulations apply. For a complete list of the rules go to www.usatriathlon.org You must be a USAT Member OR pay the $15 (per person) one-day membership fee to participate in this race. ($10.00 for Juniors 17 and under).
