College of Education & Human Sciences Technology Overview

Focusing more on capabilities, and the staff members in the Center that provide them, this offering  is designed to give an overview to faculty, students and staff of what is available from the Center for Student Success.  This seminar will introduce the participants to the different technology available and answer questions on how to access it.  This seminar is best for people who want to just become familiar with what is available to them and how they can gain access in order to use the technology.  Once familiar, a person can decide what other seminars to attend or what further questions to ask.

The presentation is short (around 15 – 20 minutes) in order to allow participants to ask more specific questions about their needs in the time allotted.

Academic Integrity and Turn It In

The College of Education has been working to create tools for faculty and students to be able to advance the concept of academic integrity.  The focus has been to create an atmosphere that mentors and guides students in the accepted ways for presenting their work and the work of others in their research.

This seminar will be offered amongst other training sessions on Academic Integrity.  The College of Education & Human Sciences will be rolling out a few different resources as the initiative is developed.

Filming Classes in the College of Education & Human Sciences

The Center for Student Success has a lot of capability to film and record classroom activities.  Along with the video and video editing capabilities we already have, we are currently developing the means to stream a class presentation over the web to class participants at a distance.  This seminar will go through the capabilities that the Center has along with how to engage those capabilities as faculty or students.

The presentation is short (around 25 – 30 minutes) in order to allow participants to ask more specific questions about their needs in the time allotted.
